MY Response….. I have been in the Internet Marketing/ home Based Biz industry for the last 4 years and I have seen so many different business opportunities.
There are a lot of goods companies to work with out there, you just have to find the right one for you.
Here are the top 8 Characteristics That Make a Great a Home Based Business….
1. Is it legal… Sounds Obvious right, you would be shocked how many companies start up are around for a few months have a ton of hype and then they are shut down. So just make sure that the company has been checked out and everything is legit. Be careful with third party sites that look like review sites, they are biased.
2. Are people making money in the company? Not just the top players but the people that are brand new and who are wiling to do what it takes to build their business.
3. Can you stand behind the company and products?
4. Do they pay enough commissions? This is really important and should be #1. In our industry the path to success is very similar in that our main objection is to generate quality traffic to your website. whether you are selling health and wellness, internet marketing training, lotions and potions, phone service what ever. The front end of most business are the same so you have to make sure you are being paid the most for your efforts.
Example- many MLM’s pay 20% commission per sale so lets say you are selling a $100 a month product to get to a $5,000 a month residual income you would have to average about 250 paying customers a month. Wow that would be tough!!!
Another example would be working with a company that paid you 100% to get to $5000 a month lets just say at the same as above with a $100 product you would only need 50 customers, this example is achievable.
Just remember you will be doing the same work to generate traffic for both examples above. This is VERY important.
5. Advertising TRAINING- Does your company/team offer action plans and training for you to plug into?
Also very important for 2 reasons.
FIRST-so you can learn how to use marketing and adverting techniques that are already working for successful teammates.
SECOND – Training that you can plug your new teammates, so you do not have to train everyone.
6. Mindset Training- You can teach someone how to advertise their business but if they do not have the right mindset, it won’t matter. They will not let themselves reach their full potential.
Mindset + Skill-set + Action = Massive Success
7. A website that converts visitors into leads and a follow up process that converts leads into sales. This is also a must. So many company’s have boring selling websites on the front end that try to make a sale the first time people see it. You should have a site that captures leads so you can give them the info slowly over a few days so they will learn to like and trust you. This will lead to a long lasting business relationship.
8. A personal mentor that will help and guide you through the process of starting a business. It is a journey and as long as you have the right expectations you will embrace the process and reach your goals.

Let me ask you a question….
How many times have you been on a diet?
How many times have you started a new “money making idea” ?
How many times have you decided you were going to live a healthy lifestyle?
How many times have you decided you were going to change they way you disciplined your children?
How many times have you decided you were going to deal with certain situations differently?
How many times have you made a New Year’s Resolution and didn’t stick with it for more than a week?
I bet you can relate to at least one of the statements above, If not all of them. So many times we start something, stick with it for a week, don’t see immeadiate results and then give up or move onto another idea. When we fail at what we were focused on it hurts you’re self belief. Think about this for a minute. How many times have you started a diet and given up a week later. What do you tell yourself?
I just have a sweet tooth I can’t help it
I am just to busy
My family are big eaters
My husband/wife isn’t doing it with me
You start this complete bashing session, you either beat yourself up or BLAME others.
We see this a lot in our industry. People start a business, and don’t have IMMEDIATE success. They then blame the company, the comp plan, their sponsor and/or themselves.
Here is the answer to change ALL of this…….
You must be aware that this is happening in situations in your life. After you are aware, then you must let your thoughts and ideas transfer into the physical world. Understand the journey that is involved with any success. Embrace the process and allow yourself the TIME to let your thoughts and ideas transfer into the physical world.
